Ok so my 07 MS3 is coming up on 100k miles. My mod list has currently lengthened including a new CBE, TIP, AP, Fuel pump internals, spark plugs... etc. With all that being said, with the miles accumulating higher now, I've been looking into some further upgrades possibly while tackling some maintenance tasks. The main thing I'm looking into is pulling the intake manifold to clean the valves and to delete the EGR tube with the JBR kit. This leads me to the following questions... Is it worth swapping the IM and TB gasket to the "TIG" PTFE gaskets from factory metal? Is it worth swapping the Injector seals to brass? Also, Balance shaft delete gains at all? Note, this car is not tracked or going for huge HP, just all around street/weekend fun. The car has been fantastic for the 60K miles I've owned it without any clogged EGR or smoking turbo issues. Do I add these pieces in or save my money for more important parts. Just thinking if I'm going be going to that length having it all pulled apart, do it all at once?

If you're doing the work already, yes get the TIG gaskets. Once you see the injectors, if you have leaking around them, it may be too late, your injector bores may be screwed. I'd say yes, upgrade the seals as well as upgrade the injector crows feet to a stud/nut combo. Don't get the SURE seals, either. No bueno. PTP or CP-E only.
BSD really doesn't 'gain' anything, and adds some NVH.

Ok good to know, thats what I was looking for. Whats wrong with the SURE halo seals? The CP-E's seem a bit overpriced

SURE's weren't manufactured to close enough tolerance. The fact that they're still selling these faulty products is disturbing.
CPE and PTP are both the best options out there.

100,000 MILES??? For an 07? Jesus...I have 70,000 KM on my 07 and I thought that was a bit much

Yeah it saddens me (notcool) But that's what happens when you work 40 miles from work unfortunately. I bought it in June of 2010 with 40k on it. WillD just traded in his 08 with 104k on the clock I believe. Atleast now I have a 2nd car to rack the miles on while its in storage for the winter
