Has this ever been done before?
I currently have a Kaixen 6000k H7 conversion kit in my stock halogen projectors...
That's not enough for me. Wide beam
but not enough reach. and the hotspot is not much brighter than halogen.
im actually pretty sure its darker than the halogen hotspot.
I want to replace the stock halogen projector with an
Acura TSX HID projector (or similar)
and i am wondering if anyone has ever done this
I have been researching for the past week and i have found nothing
about the mazda 3's being retrofitted with HID projectors.
if no one has ever done this before, at least some helpful info would be:
- knowing if the projector screwed into a main bracket or cast into the main bracket that also holds the highbeam reflector.
- maybe tips on re-sealing the headlight cover
i know the Mz3's have an HID version but i hear that the HID projectors are
not that great, and they cost over $1100 for the set (got a quote from the dealership)
I am willing to spend a lot of money but i want to make sure it's possible and i want rewarding results.
im worried about the lack of information being attributed to the possible fact that.
a) everyones happy with rebased H7's in their halogen projectors
b) it's too much work to retrofit
