Rogue, thanks for the info. At some point, I'm going to install my turbo stuff. No, really.

some things that still need to be done:
MSP valve cover / DG C/F engine cover
Microtech

MSP Sub/amp deck

well i'm officially re-inspired again. awesome job.

It's great. Since he's gotten the exhaust on, you can actually get some sensation of how much quicker the car is versus just being sensorily overloaded by loud exhaust. It is QUICK! :D

Man, reading all this just makes me more excited that hopefully within the month my P5 will be turbo'd, although not with the sexy gt28rs. I'm going to try to paint my exhaust manifold as well (grey, not red) and hopefully it will last a little longer. I'm hoping several layers of high-temp primer and paint (and a clear coat, if they make it) all baked in an oven will help. I did this with a friend to his stock exhaust manifold on his 2000 Civic and it seems to have held up. Anyway, congratulations on the build and ignore the naysayers - just BE CAREFUL!

nice we'll be doing it at right about the same time. I love that I told myself I wouldn't start the install until March or April haha

watching my EGT gauge, it gets past 1400* when doing about 4500 rpms at 90mph. My 1200* paint had no chance.

Good to know. Is that 1400F or C though? either way that's crazy hot. I'll deal with no coating on my mani..

Yeah I figure it probably won't last but anything is better than the nice shade of rust it currently is. Well I'm off to order me some gaskets and put me just one small step closer to having everything (still missing boost and w/b gauges but I'm told I have to wait until after Christmas (glare) )...

for those interested, I have the Microtech and Blitz SBC for sale.
How much for the Microtech? Why are you ridding of it?
