so you guys get the car started last night?
close, but no.

Still have to run some more vac lines, place a couple more clamps, and mount the exhaust. It'll be running to day.

Now, the real question: As you fabricated things to make this work, did you make spares of everthing to sell off to finance the project?

Some updates.
Friday night had a lot of things done. Kevin finished up with the new bracket for the wastegate acutator.

I was under the car getting the rest of the exhaust off.

Then we got the turbo mounted and started running most of the hoses.

nice...just looked at the completed pics....time for a nice clean up under teh bonnet.

Today we finally finished the install. Not many pictures, but here are some.

On her first run, I let Kevin drive her out. We're going along, then we lose all power, the car stalls, and we're w/o tools. Ended up popping the coupler off the throttle body. We limped it up the hill, but blew the pipe off 2 more times. We finally pushed it into his neighborhood and let it roll to his house. Put the clamp back and and got it nice and tight.

On the drive home, I kept out of boost for the most part. I'm being very cautious to break in the turbo and LSD properly.

I have some vids, but need to find a good place to post them.

IOW...the car is running fine and making lots more power than it was before. I think Luke finally stopped smiling an hour or two later. Talk about a kid on Christmas morning....:D

Yeah, I imagine driving that bad-boy home after 8 straight days of working on it must have felt good.

Congrats! Now you can move from always wishing you had boost to constantly restraining yourself from turning up the boost! ;)
