Hey all.. you may remember the thread I made a while back, where I was looking at a system, complete with an amp, cd deck, 4 speakers, 2 12"s, a box, and wires, ALL for less than $200. Well, as you guys predicted, I ended up spending more than I had originally bargained for. My "sound rig," is finally complete, and I ended up going with:

Aiwa CD/MP3 Deck (4x52w peak)
Xplod XM-2165GTX amp (2x165w RMS @ 4 ohms)
2 RF Punch 6x8s
2 RF Punch 6x9s
2 12" Audiobahn AW1251T subs w/ sealed box

I will have finally ended up spending about $685 after wires and installation. A bit more than I had expected, but I think I'll be pretty happy. Thanks for all your advice.

Glad you're happy, though I believe noone in here would reccomend any of that Just about every single piece is exactly the opposite of the majority's taste inhere. But that's all well and good as long as you're happy. Got any pictures of your setup? Did you do it all yourself? have you done it before?

I'm still gonna pressure you to try amping your front speakers, you WILL enjoy it, evne if you just pickup a simple low power QUALITY amp such as Eclipse, or alpine. 30-50w per channel should do it, and make your music worlds better (keep it just on the front speakers, no amped rears, especially in a sedan) Just keep it in mind, and down the road if you ever feel like you want for more, it shouldn't be too expensive, (I'd say $100-150 ish for a small nice amp)
