My Puppy was diagnosed with Parvo

Our vet has been awesome, I have literally called there 9 times in the last 3 hours. Hes doing alot better, the vet said he looks to be putting some weight back on. And is alot more alert, his is on an IV taking in some "puppyade" mixture of electrolytes and some anti biodics. So things are looking up, but in no way are we out of the clear yet.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, they have all helped my girlfriend and I have a more optimistic approach about this. I appreciate the people who said they would help me with money. I really appreciate that ALOT, but I have an awesome boss, who is loaning me the money to get er done. After its all said and done im looking at about 1k in expenses. Everything kinda snowballed on me at once.

The great thing about money is, god blessed me with two feet, so I can always get up and make some more.

Damn Blake I am really sorry to hear about this. if there is anything I can do call me you know I am always here for you buddy. We just got our new puppy over to our house this past weekend and Kaleb is loving the hell out of her. I feel bad for the pup sometimes because kaleb just doesnt understand how to play with or that he doesnt have to hold her all the time but shes a trooper and puts up with it.

Sorry to hear about your pup. my 2 year old GSD has been struggling with canine oral papilloma. While it's no where near as dangerous as parvo can be, it's sad to see them sick and not able to play with other dogs.

Good for you for ponying up to take care of the lil pup. It's a huge responsibility to take a pet in and provide care for that pet. Hope it goes well and the lil guy is fine.

Exact same thing happened to me, like 5 years ago, I rescued a German Shepherd from the pound. Had her for a few days, then came home one day to see her laying on the ground as if she was sleeping, I walked up to her and noticed she was breathing heavy and as if she was paralyzed. I moved to fastest I had ever moved before, I picked her up, and sped to the vet. Unfortunately, it was too late, the Parvo had already taken over, so the vet went ahead and ended her pain.

Called up again a bit ago, he hasnt thrown up since last night when they tryed to give him water. He is drinking fluids orally now which is a great sign.
