And that damn factory alarm didnt go off!!!

why the hell do people want to do that s***. Do they not realize it is a factory head unit and that it has a plug on the back specifically for a mazda? I dont think it will work in another vehicle unless they take the wire harness with it. Damn Morons. and if im wrong then im the moron. Sorry anyhow, I know how it is kinda, they just did that to my girlfriends S10. They did a little more damage though. I wish they would have broken the window like they did yours, but no they did the ole screw driver to the door handle trick, then scratched alot of s*** on the inside with the screwdriver, ripped the headliner and then to top it off they dented the tailgate. Stupid bastards will get what they deserve eventually. Sorry though.

The factory alarm is pretty damn good. You must not have it turned up to a sensitive level. The wind sets mine off, that's how sensitive it is. If you want to turn it up, the control unit is just under the steering wheel behind the dash. A little white knob on the black box that says "Code". I think that's the brand.

I know how you feel. Someone popped mine a couple of weeks before I was moving across country. I didn't get as much damage as you, but it still cost my Insurance Co. $2200. They scratched the door all up when they ripped out the window. It happened right in front of an office window at work within 20 min. of me returning from lunch. The theives in Phoenix are good!
