My P5 pulls to the right !

Any Mazda P5 owners have a problem with the front end strongly pulling to the right, all the time ? I've been through 4 complete alignments since I bought my P5 in July of '05 and it's never been cured. The car only has 70k mileage. It's not as bad with a full gas tank or some weight in the left back seat (slight improvement), but it always has had a strong pull to the right. If I take my hands off the wheel on the freeway, I'm doing an instant lane change !Tires (Proxes 4) are fine , & it does not seem to be a torque steer problem. The car was bought used, but has no history of ever being hit, & a close inspection seems to back that up. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks.

All tire pressures the same?

Does applying the brakes change it?

Previous owner may have bounced off a curb and bent something...

Next time don't ask for an 'alignment'. Because the will align it. Tell them what you are experiencing. Now they know to inspect and look for other causes.

If you are on a multilane highway will it pull to the LEFT when you are in the passing lane? If so, what you are probably experiencing is tramlining. And I know what you mean.....On the highway you have to fight the car just to keep it going straight and I took to driving on the centre line when it was safe to do so.

I had the problem since it was new in 2001. I started to get the pull after about 2 weeks. And both dealers couldn't find any cause. And after a few years of complaining about this they finally let me know that other P5 owners have been complaining about it as well. And they diagnosed it to being the stock Dunlop tires.

I didn't have the problem in the wintertime with my winter tires and rims.

So anyway, even though my Dunlops had plenty of life left, I decided to buy new tires. Kumho Ecsta 711s. Problem solved.

I see you have Proxes and not the stock Dunlops, but the tramilining could still be the culprit.
