Well my family and I are finally all settled in Sasebo, Japan and it was time to find something to get around in. We live no more than a 1/2 mile from where the Navy base, so we really don't need a car. I just figured it would be nice to have transportation. A friend here was willing to sell me his car for $100 but I talked him down to FREE. We signed the title over the other day and I now own a 1994 Nissan March. I am not really sure how to describe the car other than to say it was a great deal. The engine is strong, the brakes are good, the suspension is solid and all the electrical options (windows, power locks) work fine. Otherwise the condition would easily qualify as rough. It came to me with duct tape holding the front left (passenger) door closed, rusty hood that has been rattle canned, a screw driver for opening the gas door, non-functional rear hatch, a garden hose, can of fix-a-flat, can of belt dressing, jumper cables, cable style bike lock and a back seat full of dog hair and trash. Oh, and the Radio does not work, but since I can't understand anything anyway that is not a problem. So far I have fixed the front door lock and removed the tape, cleaned out the back seat, filled it with gas (7 gallons and it started at 1/8 tank), purchased stuff for a tune up (oil filter, air filter, oil, trans fluid, spark plugs) and bent the catch on the gas lid so that I can open it with my hands (cable from the lever still does not work. Tomorrow I plan to do the tune up just as a precaution since it is already running really well.

Note: Mine is greenish with a white hood (for now) and a badly painted racing stripe on the roof. I plan to either order a new hood in the right color from a junk yard if I can figure out how to do that here or I am going to cover the hood and roof in 3M dri noc (imitation cf). Actually this is where you all come in:
Q: What should I cover the hood with. It will be vinyl of some sort, but what image or color should I use? My initial thought were either CF or the NE Patriots logo. What do you think?
