Ok not sure what's goin on with my car, I was driving down the road down shift to third gear give it a little and I mean a little barely pushing the gas at all and it sounds like 2 of the cylinders just totally stop firing....it now does it constantly whenever u give it a moderate amount of gas it just feels like 2 of the cylinders just stop firing...everytime, I was going up a bridge today was running ok, and as soon as I was trying to give it a little gas to get up over the bridge it jerks a little and than again sounds like at least 2 cylinders just stop firing. and now everytime I start teh car I get this huge scent of gasoline for about 30seconds and than it goes away......?!! My car only has 39k miles on it, I'm running completely stock accept for a CAI, and boost guage, no boost controller. I'v went through checked all the vacuum lines, made sure all the intercooler piping was on nice and tight, but the problem persists just started yesterday and seems to be getting worse everyday...any ideas? I am suppose to be taking it to mazda on monday but I'm not sure if it will make it that far considering it's an hour and a half drive away, so they might have to tow it not sure yet...any ideas would be great thanks alot!

you have warrenty right? does it bore down or jerk then just not give any power or what? use warrenty. thier problem to fix.

Any CELs? almost sounds like your misfiring. Also check your MAF sensor.

before you go to the dealership, make sure you return to stock any and all parts or they will try to screw you over. And dont tell them you had any mods on the car i.e CAI or anything. I would recommend towing it if u are still having the problems you are now. Dont risk it.

yeah. I had hard pipes and a cai that they saw and they told me that they would not replace my radiator fan because of those things. they are bastards.

its just not worth the risk. It gives them a way out of doing their job. They are suppossed to show that your mod is what caused the problem. They will cop out and just say the mod had to cause it and your done. Bottom line, dont show up with aftermarket parts expecting a warranty claim.

Sounds exactly like your ignition system is crapping out on you. I hope your car is still under warranty.

^^ what's all this warranty talk people freakin out and stuff?

If it's misfiring.. get new spark plugs, new spark plug wires. A warranty will not cover that, they're wear items.

yes, I do have an extended warranty, but I was thinking it was either a fuel problem or spark plugs or spark lug wires.

Probably a good idea to check out those plugs to be sure. Not worth it to take it to the dealer and they tell you it was something stupid like the plugs and you have to pay for the tow and the diag.

I'd still at least check the spark plugs. Your extended warranty won't cover spark plugs or wires so the dealer will charge you...

Good idea and also, when was the las time you checked your air filter. I once had horrible bucking at one point and I checked my filter and it was filthy. Cleaned it and the problem went away...check it who knows?
