Just thought I'd share this pic with you guys. I popped my hood for no reason at all but to just check things out and look what i saw. Anyone see anything like this before? Kinda makes me think my engine bay is getting a little too warm, or I'm just trying to find a way to justify an evo hood! hehehe

Funny you posted this. I was looking at my cover and my emblem is also turning yellow.

I don't open it every day. I just did because I installed an oil sender (PAIN IN THE ASS) and changed the oil.

I have 11k and mine is not even close to that bad but it is turning yellow. I'm thinking mods could have something to do with it. IE more boost, more heat. Hard pipes disapating better. Not sure.

just turned over 6K miles, I dont drive hard, havent upped the boost yet, and my mods are as listed. Happened very quickly cause i had checked 2 days before this and didnt notice a thing. Wierd huh?

Yep... I posted this a few weeks ago. Both my engine cover emblem and the emblem in the rear were turning yellow. I took the car to the dealer and they replaced the one in the rear. I didn't want them opening the hood, so I didn't tell them about it. Talk to jonboy, he can get them for like $20 I think, right Jon?

I have 19k miles, I have been running at least 10psi for about 10k miles, I have downpipe, axleback, intake, new vac lines, fpr. And mine is still the same, no discoloring.

I have almost 36k and my emblem still looks like the day I bought the car. Trust me it gets plenty hot under the hood but mine is still fine

My friend had the same thing happen to his MSP after he ran it really hard one night. I guess it just gets really hot under there. He ran it damn hard for three or four hours straight, and when he popped his hood afterwards, bingo: that's what it looked like.
