Just cut a hole in driver's side of air box and replaced filter with K&N highflow part number ending 2293, and wow it really made a difference. I can feel and hear it. The spool is way louder and the blow valve is a little more loud. Feels like it picks up a little quicker and holds power a few more hundred RPM's. A good mod for under $60, I'm gonna dyno since I already have stock readings. This is a great alternative to spending $300+ for other CAI systems IMO.

Please be sure to post dyno results... heard a lot of people claiming intake mods have a lot of potential but Im eagerly awaiting someone with actual numbers.. would be nice to see actuals for such a cheap mod!

60bucks? I paid 35 with free shipping from amazon..# 2293.. I would like to see a dyno. It definitly frees up some hp but if the CAI is worth 10-15 more and over a broader range it might be worth it since its out now.

Hopefully dyno monday this intake was just something I wanted to do until I stepped up and bought cpe intake. I'm waiting for writeups from forum members. just got 3,000 dollar tax return so I'll probabbly tint windows and get the hid upgrade from katsuro. I'm not to keen on doing a lot of upgrades till warranty is done, but who knows its hard to say no to power when you have the money!

i just replaced the filter in my MS3 with a k&N and drilled 1/2" holes in every square in the Intake box, i also removed the intake snorkel.

i don;t have much sound but it does seem to be bit a quicker through the gears. I like it and its a cheap mod ofr 47.00 (k&N) I'm curious about power numbers. Let us know.

Sure, cut up your crappy Mazda stock intake box and watch your warrantee go away! Either leave it alone or buy PN GRMS-8M-L29 for around $300.
