My gas mileage From Lexington, KY to somewhere in PA 21mpg ish

Before I took on the Uhaul trailer, I recorded my gas mileage. Gassed up on the south end of my town, which is about 12 miles from the interstate on-ramp in heavy morning traffic. Then lots of interstate driving. I figure somewhere between 20-22 mpg I'm averaging, but that was through the entire state of WV on interstate 79 which is up and down and right curve left curve constantly, so not to bad, in my humble opinion.

I went through I-79 in WV also and found that I probably saved gas since I coasted on the downhills and just modulated speed using the brakes. Of course, the uphill climbs burned gas but the length of the downhills seems like it made up for the uphill gas consumption. My whole 1283 mile journey logged 23.4 mpg.

Compared to I-75 going through boring Ohio and Michigan, I-79 is better, IMO. I do like some winding roads coz it keeps me awake.

I'll be taking mine from Rochester, NY to Poconos,PA next month. 2 adults, 2 kids and some luggage. Hope to get that mileage or better.

Return trip of about 1300 miles yielded a 23.9 mpg average. Speeds were around 5mph over posted speed limit for the entire trip.
