none of the buttons work and it turns on whenever it wants to..i think the toilet water gave life to it...sigh

dropped my phone earlier and got a scratch ont he screen too..

wat a sad sad day..

you should try searching ebay.. u can get new faceplates on there for pretty cheap! i got one for my dad on there.. someone tried stealing his cd player and apparently didnt know wat they were doing so they gave up.. stole his cd player.. and lit a thing of firecrackers in the floorboard!!

how stupid!

.. but n e ways.. search there!

some times just giving it a couple days to dry out will help youd be surprised how long it takes for all the water to evap if you can open your face plate up at all i would recomend that... jumped in the lake/pool with my phone before and its gone through the washing machine at least twice and it still worked when i upgraded... let it dry for a couple days and try again...

on a side note if you go in the ocean with your phone in your pocket (was really really hung over...) kiss it good bye salt water is death.

Hehehe ~ I really had to check the spelling . . . deck . . . oh

Years ago, a friend of mine got out of the shower, and couldn't find his pager. He looked all around for it, and eventually found it in the toilet. He had left it on the sink counter, and best he can tell, someone paged him, it vibrated off the edge of the counter, and must have bounced off the toilet paper roll into the toilet! Otherwise, it wouldn't have cleared the distance from the counter to the can!

The pager didn't survive.

At least it didn't drop into a pile of s*** in the toilet. That sucks man, maybe you can get a replacement from the company.

yeah, let the thing dry out. if you can take it apart then do that too. I got my phone/pocketpc submerged half way in sprite and it worked the next day after letting it dry out. The only thing i noticed so far is whenever my phone gets knocked or hit kinda hard it turns off...

gently tear it apart and take your vacuum or canned air to it. Let it set for a bit to ensure that is is completely dry. You actually did the worse thing possible already, hooked it up w/o ensuring it was dry. The smallest amount of water plus hooking it up and applying energy may have shot the sensitive electronics inside the case... now just try your luck at pulling it apart and getting the water out.

o nooooooo k i'll try that thank you sir!

yeah most people dont realize that without electric currents, water doesnt damage electronics.

I left my phone out in the rain (it fell out of my pocket as I was getting in my car) and drove home... realized I didnt have it, drove back, and immediately pulled the battery... I dried it on my vent all night (it was winter, so the heat was on) worked fine.

I also used a trick on my floppy drive. You just run it through the dishwasher then bake it on warm (in the oven) to clean those...works like a charm

That's not the first time I've heard the dishwasher thing.

Don't feel bad, I bought a Blue tooth head set and for the first week every one at work thought it was so cool. I went to take a #2 and when I bent down to clean the bowl (at work) the damn thing just fell off my ear. I saw it and went to catch it but it was to late. I grabed it cleaned it up and sold it, it did work, but it smelled like taco bell for some reason.
