My COBB Spring Impressions

Well I know for one I am very impressed with these springs. The drop was more then I thought it was going to be and that makes me SUPER happy. The comfort for daily driving wasn't effected in a negative way. If anything it made it better. The suspension and the car feel more connected to the road, and driving the car is a more pleasurable experience. Shifting also has less jerk to it. (my CS Inserts wore in to much) The floatyness is gone. IDK, all that has to be known is that these springs feel amazing and are a huge upgrade in the suspension department

not yet. I should get some up though because my drop seems lower then everyone else's. I think its the perfect drop and the ride comfort is better then stock to be honest. and im a tuff cookie to please

glad you like them. i am still not sure I want to do any suspension work yet, Im really happy with the way the car is now, perfect daily driver.

definitely want to see some pics of the drop. before and after if possible.

You know I really like the stock suspension. I guess one of the main reasons obviously is for appearance, especially now since I'm sporting 40 series tires.

I will do these. I may do the sway bars too. I am not really using the car as a DD so a little impact in comfort is ok. So far it is great but i was a bit suprised at the slight float at speed. still great though.

i would like to see some pics also... hopefully im gunna be installing my cobb springs and rear sway this coming saturday... did u install these yourself? if so was it hard?

So if I went with the H&R's my shocks would take a dump?

* I apologize if I'm jacking your thread, just thought I saw it mentioned some wheres...

i installed it myself, no extra hands and i did it in 4 hours. could have been shorter but i had to run and get some anti-seize to get the strut back into the control arm for the front. the back took me 30min

well i just did a lil midnight fun run, and let me tell you. This car is a different animal from a dead stop. ZERO wheel hop, with totally controlable wheel spin, and just the perfect amount of traction.

As for picture I'm going to take a couple tomorrow..well today since its mdnight. So hopefully the springs settle some more, and then tomorrow I'll grab some photos.

you on stock rims/tires? and i think most springs usually settle at least a week after there on... but i still want to see pics anywayz :-)

God, I hope not. I got the fronts on yesterday (brutal heatwave - had to stop working - literally, I passed out) and the drop is more than I expected. I like it, but I hate to think of it getting even lower.

IIRC yes, the H&Rs will blow your struts usually around 15,000-20,000 miles or so. they were not designed to work with the stock struts.

Thanks for the review! I'm torn between Cobb's and H&R's.

I am in the exact same boat. Cobb or HR. I dont want to have to get a camber kit and I dont want to blow shocks or ruin the ride quality so I dunno what set to get.

Please post those pics when you can I wanna see this thing!

Well in that case I guess it's obvious I shouldn't go with the H&R's :(

Yeah, I'm in the same boat with all you that want either Cobb or H&R's. The drop of the H&R's are perfect but I hear all kinds of stories on blowing the struts. With the Cobb, I hear you still get the stock "float" and some don't lower it as much. I can't wait to see your pictures though GhostMercury.
