Hi!

Just to notify my car is 55K miles and 47K of this acumulated miles has been with the GT 3071R and still my engine has not given on me.

And by the way the car chassis still feels right, other cars i used to have including BMW's and other Mazda the chassis was flexing a little bit and then a lot.

The interior looks very good with little show o wear, and in general the car has hold very good. Even in the tropical climate, and poth-hole infested roads and highways were I live.

Bye!

Good to hear you're running strong with the 3071. I'm sure a little research and some know-how helped save you from blowing it. What kind of tune are you running on it, and what kind of boost pressures are you running as well?

I'm at 35k right now with mine, and aside from little stuff (rear deck, carpet hook) and a replaced turbo, mine is still rock solid. The interior still looks great with a good cleaning (which it needs) and the paint is gorgeous.

I still believe that it's all about your approach to these cars. They're not one you can just jump in and beat up, but rather know what you're doing.

some answers!

I have changed oil with Mobil One since day one every 5,000 miles.

The boost is set at 18 psi but it peak at 20 in the first 3 gears. I drive it every day between home and my office and some times during the weekends. And I can say I drive it hard almost every day.

The tunnig, this is funny. When I installed the GT turbo there was no way to tune it so I use the BCK unit from ATP till the firs batch of CPE stand-back's became available.

Then Forrestang email me his tune and that with some street tuning using a DH for some adjustment in the AFR'S, I used till The Standback V2 upgrade became available.

Since then I used the CPE provided tune with some Street tuning adjustments to compensate the timing and AFR's to try to maitain detonation to a minimun .

My car does not have the CPE Flash, and have the diode trick on it second O2 sensor. The waste gate of the GT is fully ported and the WG Actuator is 7 psi so boost is under control.

In the future I will like to do the CPE flash but right now I cant stop the car for some days and wait till the car computer takes a round trip to CPE.

Since new the A/C blower was change twice under warranty and is starting to fail again, one of the factory shockabsorbers fail and I used that as a excuse to install the current Bilsteins and RPM sport springs, other than those two items the car has been very reliable even with the aftermarket mod's.

damn that is sweet. my car has 62k and some change and still runs strong. sounds like with a good tune this car can handle more than i thought.

i have 68k miles and 30 something on the gt3071r, still runs strong even after two fender benders in the rear bumper, everything looks right though. there is one little sound in the rear right door, like there is a rock there or something.

Both of you have the CPE EMS. Just a question but is there any difference between the CPE and the AP now that the self tuning is available?

nice too see a car thats modded with decent mileage on it.. (thumb)

my car has 29,762 miles.. and is 3 years young..
