Okay talk about bull$hit. I was at my friends apartment he just moved in that day. So I stopped over there about 11pm and when I went to leave at 1am about. I walk out and I parked right next to him w/ his new 03 tiburon and my car and his car are both gone. After about and hour talking to security at his place we find out they towed it about 30 mins away(the other side of the cities) and they charge $225 a car to get outta the impound lot. The next morning we go down there and ask to see our cars before we get them out and the gate man said we can't cause we might steal them back(bull$hit). So after that we pay, we pull are cars out to find on my frinds car his frount end scrapped up and his licence plate holder smashed and my car the front lower end scrapped up and the rear bumper has a scrap and like a hook mark that just about goes through the bumper. We both got estimates on our cars and there both about $1200 each. I'll post pics of my bumpers later and follow up.

I hope to hell you're going after the towing company, and an excuse as to why they were towed.

sh1tty. I don't think towing companies pay for that stuff tho. Were you in a "DO NOT PARK" zone? Didn't your alarm go off?

how could they not? They are the ones that damaged it, how could they not be liable?

Here's the deal!

My friend just moved in that day and didn't open up all his packets and didn't know you had to have a permit sticker and he didn't know visitors needed one so that's why we got towed. We got written reports from the security gaurds that had are cars towed watching the damage our cars pretty much. It said he watch them take over a 1/2 hour to put my car on the flat bed and how the wench kept slipping and my car would slide down and would bump the front end on the ground and my buddies car the watched the guy go over the speed bumps to fast and bottom the front end out on his car. We talked to the owner of the towing company(Cedar towing in St.Paul) And he took a look at our cars and said he discuss w/ the driver and asked us to get estimates even though we told he if he didn't take care of it he'd be getting sued. We're also trying to get the money back for towing plus some more for making these trips to St.Paul. (by the way my friend paid to get my car out, it was kinda his fault and he realizes that). I'll get pics on here soon, It's not much damage but enought to piss me off.

The towing company was doing there jobs as far as the taking of the cars goes. You'll probably have to contact the people at the apartment building about getting your towing fees back. But I would definitely make sure your cars get fixed. And find the most expensive, most elaborate place to do it. Makes them fork over serious cash for being idiots.

Yeah, I understand them doing there jobs, but why would they do such bad job a wreck expensive stuff. We talked to the owner of cedar towing and he doesn't think they damaged our vehicles and we told him we had written documents from security saying they did. So we told them we'll see him in court and he said see ya then?????? bad

I don't know about your area but in Arizona you're not liable for towing cost. :bs:

I feel for you man! I'm done highschool, but my friends were organizing some event at school, and asked me to bring their refreshments, so I figured, Sure, why not? So I parked my car in front of the door, and hauled in a few boxes of bottled drinks (those things are heavy! there were 2 dozen bottles in each box! of course i'm not going to park in the parking lot and walk 5 minutes back to the school), but then, the stupid principal decided to call the tow company while I was carrying the stuff into the school, and the tow company being 5 minutes away as well, came and towed all illegally parked cars, including MY car! I complained to everyone I could find, but no one would reimburse me, saying it's my fault! God, there went $150 for no reason.
