Well I parked my car on the street for the first time towards the end of summer...and you can imagine what happened next. Im in my friends basement when everyone yells get out side now your car. so i run without shoes or anything and the alarm is blaring. and then i see a HUGE dent in my trunk and my painted emblems shattered. "Pigs" came and like usual did nothing about it.

Now i am looking to get it fixed. but i dont want the stupid s*** heads at the body shop blending my trunk in with the rest of my paint. so who has had something repainted on their car and what was the outcome. Its blazin yellow incase you dont see my sig. O and not to mention the want 1200 to fix it.

Did you post something about this a week or two ago? If so, I gave my answer. I wish you luck. The 3-stage mica paint is a b**** to match and your best bet is to have a good painter blend it. I've tried it both ways and the "panel paint" looked like s*** compared to the blend.

I had my blazing Yellow backed into. The rear driver's door panel was replaced and the body shop my Mazda dealer told me to take it too couldn't match it. 3 visits later, they had to blend it.

yes i did but i wanted replys from the MSP guys cause we have that special mica paint

It's very hard to tell where they blended it (that part they did better than I've ever seen) but there's a slight difference in the color, so you can tell if you know what to look for. The Spicy Orange is an extremely tricky color because orange is by nature a mix of shades. Our particular variety is even worse. My guess is that the Blazing Yellow would also be tricky, but probably not as bad as the Spicy. A close match on the color combined with a good blend, and you'd be hard pressed to ever tell it was worked on.

when they blended it could you tell?

I can tell, but I guess it is because I knew where to look. Everyone who didn't know I was hit couldn't tell though, so I guess blending it turned out okay.

my rear door got hit when my car was 3 weeks old. the body shop put a new skin on painted it and you cant eveb tell. I think there was some damage to the rear bumper also.

Im always amazed (although, at this point Im not sure why) with how people treat others' property. It sucks that people feel they have the right to just leave after damaging someone elses property. Its always sad to hear.

Hopefully youll be righted and everything will look good as new!! :)

yea everyone just envys my car so much that they feel destroying it is fun. one day i will find out who did it and then their life will be made harder then what mine is rite now trying to fix this dam thing
