2012 Mazda 5 Sport 6spd manual
Just thought I'd add a picture of my Mazda 5. I purchased it on 6/29 and drove it home that night in the large "derecho" storm that struck the midwest and east coast. I was fortunate in that I did not encounter any hail on the drive or at my house! This is my first Mazda. I wanted something wagon like with a manual trans. So far I am really enjoying it, and regularly seeing gas mileage between 24-26.5. I have yet to make an all highway trip, most of my driving is mixed.

Since purchase I've added the following:

OEM fog lights
OEM mud flaps
OEM rear bumper protector
Aftermarket body side moldings
16x7.5 Sport Edition wheels
K&N drop in air filter

I'd like to add lowering springs next. Corksport has H&R springs on their site but in calling them they couldn't yet guarantee the springs would work without issue on a 2012. They said they were waiting on confirmation from H&R. If there is another source for lowering springs for the 2012 I'd be interested to hear about ii.

If you do a search you should be able to find another thread with photo of the H&R springs installed on a 2012 5. There should be no issues other than reduced ground clearance.

I looked at H&R's site and they have different PNs for the 2006-2010 springs and the 2012+ springs. I ordered a set of the 2012+ springs through this place called Crossover Performance for $230. Waiting on them to arrive.

Could you let us know your experience with Crossover Performance? I am interested in upgrading the springs as well for better handling. Also, will be installing a new Alpine 4-channel amp for the Focal Access speakers next weekend (hopefully). Already have a Kicker 10" CVT sub with JL JX250/1 mono amp in the car. It sounds good but the mids/highs need a little more punch. The Alpine 4x50W amp should make the audio system that will kick butt LOL.

Everyone I've seen shows the springs b/o til the first week of October. Did crossover show it in stock?

It looks like they do have it in stock but who knows. But everyone seem to carry sports springs only, not stock height springs. Just don't feel comfortable losing ground clearance on this car since it's already pretty low I think. When heavy snow comes, I'll need that extra inch of ground clearance to get out those pesky piles.

Crossover had to get the springs from the warehouse. They arrived today and are the correct part number for the 2012 (52685). My experience with Crossover was outstanding. They notified me there would be a delay in shipping and kept me up to date on the order status. I would definitely buy from them again.
