I need some help/advice.
I have a 2006 MAzda mx-5 and recently the Remote smart card I am using stopped working, so I took it in to the nearest Mazda Dealer, along with the spare.
Mazda say that both remotes are broken, and need to be replaced(How can both be broken at the saem time??) and that I need to buy 2 new remotes because I need 2 to program them.
They want to charge me R2600 per remote, with the total for job coming to R7000. In dollars 325$ per remote total 875$
Now what on earth could be in those remotes that cost so much money? nothing, an Ipod touch costs less...
Is there some where that I can buy the Smar card remote online and then just take it to a dealer for Programming, with out hacving to pay the Inflated price they charge for the remotes.
