Mute Wire

I just installed a parrat hand free cell phone kit into my car. It hard wires itself into the stereo system. I can hear people talk and everthing works correctly but i could not find a mute wire on the stock stereo sytem. Does any one know where the mute wire is or how to mute the stereo so that only my phone is heard through the speakers and not the music and phone?

Tried pause it stops all sound to the speakers then but i can't pause radio stations anyway.

Can you still hear calls when the radios off?

Yes you can hear call when the radio is on standby but then there is no way to control the volume.

i dont think the stereo has an external mute wire. i just checked all my resources and i dont see anything about it. ill dig around a little more.

Yea i check along time for one and looked online but couldnt find one. I didnt know if there was a way to make one, and thanks for looking stuff up.

ill see if theres a way to make one, i hadnt considered that. i think the stock HU was made specifically for the MSP so i cant imagine kenwood included a mute pin on their harness if it wouldn't connect to anything.
the HU wasn't MSP specific - my bad. the one for the MP3 might have been. i just can't remember.
there is no external mute for the stock HU. so you're SOL.

if you have an aftermarket HU, theres probably a pin for it, so you should be able to make it happen.
