Okay, so, this is all over the forums, people complaining about this p0300 CEL code (multiple Cylinder Missfire) and everyone is talking about ways to fix it, but it doesn't seem like anybody ever says if they get this code fixed or not.
Order of events:
1. CEL flashes and than stays on, on my way home from work yesterday, instead of going home, I went to CP-E HQ to get it checked out, found out it was this code.
2. Cleared the codes
3. Driving home from CP-E, CEL flashes and turns back on.
4. Go back to CP-E HQ to find out it's the same code.
5. Went to Auto-Zone, got some Lucus Octane booster, and got new gas.
6. Erased the codes and drove the car very hard for 5-10 minutes and code does not turn back on.
Okay, so the CEL has not turned back on, does anybody really believe that the gas I had in my car was really THAT bad to throw a code consistantly considering I already put about 220 miles on that tank of gas without throwing any codes. There was never any engine sputter or rough Idle or anything. I feel like it will turn back on, planning on cleaning the spark plugs tonight. Any Ideas people?
