MSP xtra wheels for autox recommendations

2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege
Hey guys.
When i first bought my MSP (almost a year ago), the OEM bridgestones were worn out. I wanted to get the best tire for street/autox duty but somethin that wouldn't wear out fast (like Azenis or Rs-2s). So i picked up some Toyo t1R's. Love em, but they are wearing a bit quicker than i had hoped, so:
I'm in college, so i don't have a ton of money, but i've been workin all summer and have a little extra cash lyin around and need some advice.
I want to get an xtra set of rims and tires for autox. As far as tires, i'm thinkin probablly Rs2's because r-comps are pretty darn expensive.
My question is with reguard to wheels, though. Obviously, smaller=cheaper---how small can i go with the MSP. I know goin down to 16's wouldn't be a problem.....but what about 15's??
I'm looking to do this as cheaply as possible. What would you guys recommend?? (possibly pickin up a set of regular protege rims if they'd fit....etc) i'm open to any and all suggestions.
thanks a lot guys

the Mazda Millenia 9 or 11 spoke rims will fit prefectly. They're 15x6 with +50 offset. You can go 205 easy, 215 may be a stretch. The smaller wheel will also help with gearing. They also only weigh 11lbs.

Are you worried about what class you will run with the new wheels or do you not care/run with a club that does not use SCCA classing.

Unfortunately, the region closest to my school is NASA. I like SCCA better and it's definitely what i'm used to, but i can't be picky i guess.
My big thing is that i just don't wanna wear out my t1-r's... cuz they definitely weren't cheap.

so i guess you would recommend picking up a set of these millenia wheels used from here?

I know i can get the best deal on the tires from edgeracing.com---been using them for years.

I'll have set of 15X7 Kosei K1's up for sale possibly in the next month or so. If you can wait and your interested you'll probably have to fight Rogue for them, but I can also supply them with a used set of R'comps for you. You can run 225's on them.

The ones in my sig.

I need them for at least the next 2-3 weeks. I'm trying to get a set of 14's to run for Nationals at the end of September, but if that plan doesn't come together then I'll be using these.

The only problem with the millenia wheels are that they are so narrow. I would rather have 15x7 or 15x8 wheels if they fit the budget.

What kind of budget are we talking about for these wheels?
