i raced my friends WRX in turns and his car was lowered too, I started behind him, i was behind until we reached half way before all the turns ended, i passed him really quick and still pulling away from him, i believe it was about 2-3 car lanes, but at the last part i almost went out of control because i was going too fast! thank the lord i didn't loose control because i don't wanna mess up my baby! MSP rules!

Nice but I will be the idiot to say keep it on the track or keep it safe. Because this is what happens when too much speed meets stupidity

yea... i got hella scared when i was about to loose control... if i had a RWD, i think i would've lost control and spung out

Actually...what you felt was a touch of over steer. The MSP is very balanced with a hint of oversteer, rather than understeer like most FWD cars. It's really amazing. Don't try that kinda stuff on the roads, though. join your local auto-x club...it's the best way to learn your car. And yes...the MSP will handle better than the WRX, out of the box. That's it's true purpose for being.

Yeah the oversteer on the MSP surprised me once...I took a turn too fast, and felt the back end swing out! I was like s***! This shouldn't happen in a FWD car! But it was good....very predicatable and progressive oversteer....easily countered.

doesn't oversteer usually happen to FWD cars ? if u were to oversteer in a RWD car, u'd end up making the tires squeal and initiate a donut. putting power into the steering wheels causes them to pull in the direction that they are going, so if u apply a lot of power to them, they'll cause the car to move to where u pointed them a lot quicker and probably pull the car towards that line rather than start to cause the outside part of the car to pull outside in understeering.

heh, i guess the only reason i said that is 'cause in my miata i don't really experience understeer or oversteer. i feel like i'm oversteering in the MSP all the time.

s*** i havent fealt a lick of oversteer on my msp, if anything the lsd tucks the front in and makes it on rails.....i could over steer my 240sx with a simple flick......drifta special :)

Ummm, well I went to the limits of my MSP a few weeks ago.

I had just left work, and I was taking a left onto a pretty big street(inside lane of the 2 turning lanes), well I was going way too fast and I felt the back end swing a little, I wasn't worried because it had happened before, but then it went more and I was 90 degrees to the left of where I was supposed to be. I didn't want to hit the curb, so I yanked the wheel right and spun a 270 degree turn and was then going backwards on the street that I turned onto. An old couple were looking at me (while they were going the right way in their car:D ); the stopped, then I rolled to the side of the road and got back on.

Scared the s*** out of me, but it was fun to think about after it was all over...my two friends in the car where scared shitless as well.

Point of this story, I guess I just needed a wake up call telling me that my car can't take any turn at any speed; though it can handle most. My tires were probably really cold too.

Listen to the ROCKET ANUS he knows of what he speaketh.:p :D :p

be safe guys...

public roads are not racetracks. if you want to be a racer, do it on a RACEtrack.

oversteer sucks i went up the side of a hill around a turn because of that oh wait maybe thats cuz i had drag slicks and was busy walking a boxster through the twisties

Boxers are weaksauce! Overpriced averageness.

Anyway, to initiate oversteer "trail brake" a FWD. Very easy to do very hard to master ( i.e. maintain full momentum and trail brake to tuck the nose in)

The MSP is a blast to drive because it minimizes the limitations of a FWD car. They are still there but definately less than an average FWD.
