MSP vs SRT-4?

PS - for all of you normal, socially acceptable fellow forum members, i apologize for my outburst...yet another thread destroyed by someones inability to communicate well with others. and although i may have just stooped to his level, im sorry, but nothing matters to me more in this life than my wife. she has been there throughout every problem and every deployment.

Poor bastard, he post a pic to prove his wife is hot now half the board is trying to look her up, brotha you just can't win. (rofl)

Sorry if I seem a bit relaxed razor, I never saw what he posted but the PWN3NING ablity of 1sty is always at your disposal. (thumb).

Saying s*** about a mans women is grounds for a SERIOUS ass whipping! I suggest an apology seat!

If you like the looks of both, and are willing to wait till next year then don't buy anything now.

Next year's SRT-4 comes with a limited slip differential. With that it should have no trouble keeping up with the MSP on both the strip and track.

Do you have any idea when this new model is going to be coming out?

Just a couple thought, I didn't start this thread to create a war. I'm actualy torn between what car to get.. I do want to say thank you to the people who actualy posted information to help me however all the flaming is a little disturbing. Just for clarifacation this will be my first new car ever so I'm trying to be pretty concrete on what I want to buy. So anyone know if there are any decent turbo kits for the SRT? or if there are any good turbo upgrades for the MSP?

The problem is this comparison has been done TO DEATH. a search will bring up a bajesus of info. All has already been said many times.

The only things I will add here is drive each car and see what you like. Also the SRT/4 can be upgraded with mopar parts to retain warrenty, the MSP can not.

Razor...your wife is a hottie, bro...good catch. I can't wait until the day I come back from my deployment and see my wife again. I can see it in your faces how glad you were to be back together...I can't wait to feel the same...

As far as a daily driver......

The MAZDASPEED is a wonderful daily driver! With 10psi, I love the balance. It's just a great car! (thumb) Not to mention, just how rare they are. Approaching 11,000 miles; I wake up every morning knowing I bought the perfect car for me.

All you can do is go out drive 'em, and decide for yourself. What works for you? Only you can answer that.

AGR that is one thing I mentioned to a couple this weekend.
They have been considering the MSP or SRT/4.

The major advantage the MSP has is that it is totaly balanced, and not in just the weight distrobution way. The car is setup to not drive beyond its own limits. The autocross ability is impressive and not hard to master. The dodge can EASILY be pushed passed its own handling ability, and not becuase it has a bad suspension but because of a very powerful engine. Anyone that has played Grand Turismo knows what I mean. Its often better to NOT improve the power of some cars becuase it makes them VERY hard to drive.

I'm Baaaack!

You know my opinion, the SRT4 won't be ***** in handling and could be easily made to handle as well as the MSP. That said, try them both out and see what you like driving around better. Buy the car you want and don't settle, that's what I just did for my new car.

OMG YOU *****!
:D

After all that SRT-4 Evangelizing you bought a freaking WRX!
OOOOOOOOO the Mopar freaks will have you ass now for sure.(getsome)

Enjoy your "Japanese" car ... ;)

All we need now is Busty Boo in here with Jecky Joo Jo Ja and we could all sing Coom By ah...

you rang?? hey speaking of SRT-4's. i had some spicy chicken something or other for dinner the other night which gave me some real badass stomach pains so i went to the bathroom to see if i could relieve myself of these issues. low and behold by the time i got done, a pile of poo in the shape of a neon was left in the bowl. kinda brought a tear to my eye to remind me what finely crafted piles of s*** they are.

Man, I keep on hearing test drive this test drive that. We in Virginia don't have the luxury. MSP, RX8, Mazda 6i, and SRT4 are hot cars and the dealerships here know that so they won't let you test drive any of them. But I also had the same dilema, MSP or SRT4 or Spec V. I knew my budget and I like all three cars.

I decided to choose MSP. There were 2 spec Vs in my neighborhood already and you can see them all over the place. SRT4, they jacked up the price to 25k, so that car is definitely not worth the price. Whatever happened to "performance sedan under 20k????".

Anyways, I chose the MSP cuz that is the only car I know that's hardly out there and is at a good price....plus I like the turbo. Just disappointed it doesn't have a sunroof and cruise control.

Spec V is a better buy, hence you see more of them around than anything, but having people stare at your MSP because there were not a lot made is just priceless, specially when you are blasting the 450w sound system hehehhehehe. All the cars I listed have their own quality, it's just preference. Peace.

A dealer that refuses you a test drive is a creatin and should be avoided regardless of location.

errrr.....well then I shouldn't buy from any dealer in VA hahahhahaha. Every dealership I've been to, if the car is new and they know it can sell like hot cakes....they know people don't like buying cars with miles in them already so they don't do test drives.

I've been to every dealership with SRT4s and MSP, they do the same thing. Of course I know a lot of people that would just go to a dealership and test drive tight cars and not buy, just to drive it. So I see both points of view. I def. know I don't want a car with any miles in it, if there are miles, I want a few grand off the sticker price.

I think that when it comes down to it, you would spend more money making an SRT-4 handle like an MSP then you would making an MSP hang with an SRT-4 in a straight line. That is until you start modding the SRT-4 too, but Im just trying to make the point that you will spend a sh*t ton of money modifying your suspension to get it to handle like an MSP, and you need to get colder plugs, exhaust, an MBC, and better fuel management to make an MSP run like an SRT-4. Just my .02:)

Ryno u are sooo wrong SRT-4's stock kill MSP while MSP ppl have to spend atleast $2000 modding it to keep up w/ SRT4 we only spend $225.97 to upgrade suspension and endlinks to corner like MSP! I know from personal experience

My brother was all set to buy an SRT-4 but every dealer wanted 24k! So personally, I feel he was saved from the curse of the automotive-doo by the dealers greed.
He got a nice Brand New Mica Orange MSP for 17640.00$ out the door TTL and all. And now of course he loves the car and will be adding a Joe MBC with a gauge to up the fun factor just a bit.
