I think that when it comes down to it, you would spend more money making an SRT-4 handle like an MSP then you would making an MSP hang with an SRT-4 in a straight line. That is until you start modding the SRT-4 too, but Im just trying to make the point that you will spend a sh*t ton of money modifying your suspension to get it to handle like an MSP, and you need to get colder plugs, exhaust, an MBC, and better fuel management to make an MSP run like an SRT-4. Just my .02

Ryno: You could spend way less on making the SRT tear up the the MSP in any situation. It's costs around 300 bucks to bring the car in the mid 13's with the Stage I. Now tell me how much you spend on the MSP to bring it in that range. There's an SRT here in SA thats running the Autox and he stays pretty close to the MSP times. It wouldn't cost too much to make it handle better.

first off, the camber on the neon is ZERO. that'd be a good place to start.
an msp can hit 13s with race fuel and a few other minor mods.
not to mention the hiboost turbo kit i could get and have my STOCK mp3 run 260whp and 300lb torque on racing gas and a few other mods like hiboost did on his P5...

We went today to Dynamic Autosports in Irvine Ca. to do the dyno test at 14 PSI with the new bigger injectors.
The results are good. 259.6 WHP and 302.7 ft-lbs of Torque.
This was done at 14 psi with 100 octane 76 street legal fuel.
We had a fuel pressure gauge and it stayed at 50 lbs all the way to the redline. This means that the stock fuel pump will handle that much power.
I knew this engine would handle this much power with stock internals when it is well tuned.
After the dyno test we drove to Ramona, a small and nice town north of San Diego and we enjoyed the trip racing thru the canyons (at 14 psi) before we used all the high octane fuel.

No i own a MSP. I haven't seen the numbers up here for any cars in the 12's or low 13's. I have seen 12's on the srt boards.
I guess you don't know the neons scca track record they certainly suck....
I visit every board to know what people are doing with cars. I just hear more s*** talking here than anyone else. People that bought an MSP that is somehow a corvette because they can beat any car they go up against. Then the others with the "but it can outhandle "insert car here". Every car has go it's perks and I'm not going to say this car or that car sucks. I don't think the MSP sucks, it's a good little car. I like the SRT as well. I also like the SPEC-V. My head isn't too far up my ass to realize that other cars with small amount of mods can do the same as another car. I can put 3000 in my engine and beat this car or that, just the same as someone else can put 3000 in handling to beat this car or that car at track. It's all the same...
