MSP trans leaking... Can't even enjoy the car it always breaks!

So I bought this car from boostedprotegelx and it is a true gem!!! After all the work I did to it I thought it was done and after driving it 500 miles I go to change the oil and the trans is leaking and gear oil was everywhere! I cleaned it all up and I am 100% positive it is coming from behind the boot on the trans where the shift linkages hook up to the shaft that goes in the transmission. How do I fix this? Is it a simple oil seal or something or does the entire trans need rebuilt? I appreciate all help! Thanks!

You sure It is not coming from the axle seals and spitting out everywhere?

I am positive. I do not know enough about this trans to know whether this means the whole thing needs rebuilt or if it is some kind of seal that can be replaced without rebuilding entire trans... It really sucks though I can't even drive it.

My money is on a axle seal.... I have not seen the car but most cars leak there.

Have a mechanic diagnose, then you fix it. No sense in getting frustrated by guessing. That's what I do, in winter at least until I get a garage.

Okay well I checked it again and had a second opinion and it is leaking around the shaft going into trans that shift linkages connect to... I figured it was too good to be true to be something simple. Well I guess its off to the trans shop for a rebuild if the damn snow stops here in MD

If you dont have a welded LSD get it welded or get a replacement M-factory LSD.

The terd doesn't even have an lsd!!! Boostedprotegelx sold me the car and let me tell you it is a real gem if you wanna buy it...lol
