MSP Severe Jerking

Not to throw a wrench in this post, but my N/A protege started doing this too. The explaination from a few places suggest that my fuel injectors are clogged, clutch may be going, or thats how the transmission is (I'm like pick a card, any card at this point).

Mine usually does this when i shift into second or down into second and at low rpms try to step on the gas and the car bucks pretty harshly. I don't know if this is the same thing your experiencing, but I'd be happy to know if anyone has any ideas on what this is.

Check the motor mounts also, they get weak! Does your stick shift move way back and way forward when you get on and let off the gas in 2nd gear? It will move with the engine. Let your hand rest on it and you will feel the movement.

Is there a way to test the wastegate to see if it has failed?

Yes, search "wastegate", I saw a thread on it recently!

It's a simple procedure, so I'll just post it. In order to check the actuator to see if it has failed, blow into the vacuum hose leading to the WGA. If it can hold pressure (you cannot blow continuosly) then it is fine. If you are able to keep blowing through the line and can hear the air escaping, then its time to replace it.
