I picked up a new issue of "Turbo and High Tech Performance" at the bookstore the other day and found out that they're using an MSP as a future project car. Their baseline dyno showed something like 160 whp. Pretty interesting article about the car.... kinda short though.

That seems like an awful high base number....

That's not the regular Turbo Magazine that Primedia publishes, is it?

Sorry, but this is old news. That issue was published about a month or so ago.

They will be installing an Ion FMIC, some exhaust and some other goodies.

FYI guys

Turbo Mag's Project MSP will be the running our following components and doing a review etc over the next few issues starting in the December issue:

(1) Stage 1 FMIC
(2) CAI kit
(3) Street Spec Turbo-back system w/ optional CF rear section
(4) Equal-length MSP header.

I posted this way back. old news.. I might have to get that clutch adjuster they used on it.

DERR i was all looking for it in Nov. issue that came out this time around. Although they had a nice Evolution in there.

there dyno numbers were high on the P5 they tested. it had a base of 123 with just HKS axle back and filter.

That sounds basically like my planned setup, so I'll be especially curious to see the results :D

Peace...(hippy)

ION: Is Turbo going to get their car flashed first? Are they going to repost the baseline dyno? If not, you might want to give them a call and suggest it. That would be a nice way to start their December article, before and after flash dynos.

MSP Pro - Turbo mag did a before and after FMIC install run just like we did @ stock boost levels. This was BEFORE the flash came out. I'm hoping they'll get their MSP flashed so that we can see the results. The flash from the dealer isn't available in Canada yet.
