Buddy is also interested in the smic, I know he's been looking a while. He's at work so I'm trying to work the details over text with him. If you'll accept dibs on it mildsalsa wants it.

No dibs... but first to get the $ in my hands gets the deal!

Also - it is recommended to use the slim fan with the SMIC, because the SMIC sits a bit further out than the stock radiator and your stock fan will sit at an angle. This gets in the way of the intake piping.

No problem retaining my stock fan with this smic, hardpipes and an injen. You can be patient and adjust everything or fabricate a bracket to make the smic fit "better" if you like.

I had the same setup. Hardpipes and Injen - no matter what I tried, the Injen would still sit against the stock fan. It worked, but that meant that Injen was mounted at an angle and I couldn't get it bolted down correctly.

In my experience it would be best to replace the stock fan with a slimline if using the CustomMSP - that's why I bought the Spal (just never got around to mounting it) an extra benefit is that I'm sure the Spal fan will move a lot more air than the stock one = cooler SMIC.
