MSP parting out.

So I see no one has called dibs on the hood yet... I gotta go check my finances, I need to get rid of my APC hood. Does it come with the rain guards? I don't have a garage until I move into my apartment in August so I'd probably have to keep it closed all the time until then.

I would really love to have the hood as well...but what would you want for your APC hood...Maybe we can both end up with a hood...I would really prefer the WW as I have already had one and loved the fitment...And dont worry about the raing gaurds...YOU DON"T NEED THEM!

They are overkill...for nothing...your motor gets wet everytime it rains anyway...trust me I know...this is the second car I have hap with an open vented hood...Never one problem...EVER!

Could I paypal you the money for the hood? Then I can figure out selling my hood after I already have it's replacecment.

EDIT: Google Maps Directions <-- it's a long drive to pick it up, But I'm willing to do it tonight :P I have no life

EDIT2: Anyone know if a protege hood can fit in the back of a P5? Otherwise I have to take my Mazda B4000 and somehow get the hood back without damaging it

Cool.. looks like I can get there and get good gas mileage at the same time. The mazda truck only gets like 15mpg highway, that 4.0 sucks up gas!

Give it to me then, one of my belts squeals every time I start up and it's less than 70 degrees F in the engine bay. It's embarassing as hell, luckily it's only happened at home so far. I think it's the power steering belt because last time I tried it turning the wheel made it louder when it was making noise. Serves me right for installing my UDP and just saying "eh that feels about right" for the belts. Went for a good week before it started.

So in conclusion, trade me your GC hood for my APC hood. Trust me, you'll love it :P

EDIT: The way the GC hood is set up, it's funneling all the water that hits the hood basically into your vent. If it rains heavily you're talking about a lot of water entering the vent. At least with the EVO style hood it's just all the rain that hits the area of the vent.

got my SRI, j-pipe and CS exhaust on, but no s-pipe.
as far as I can tell it is impossible without taking the turbo off, i cant see a way to get a wrench or anything at the bolt that is underneath the top in the middle of the S. JD has done his though and said he has some special wrench he used so maybe I will give it a shot with him and his magic wrench.

another problem cropped up though...we had put the j-pipe on and tightened it then realized that we were missing a bolt in the bracket holding the s-pipe in place. the hole for this bracket wasnt lined up so we were going to disconnect teh J from the S to relieve the stress so the bracket would line up...we were able to remove 2 of the 3 nuts then on the third it just got stuck half way down the stud and now the stud rotates with the nut when we try to tighten or loosen it. I BELIEVE these studs are supposed to be permanently attached to the S-pipe so i dont know how this one managed to break free.or how I am going to get the nut off of there to remove the j-pipe in the future. Right now I have the 2 other nuts tightened down and this 3rd one is just sitting there. doesnt seem to be causing a problem but it cant be good....

Yeah i read about it in the other post. That kinda sucks Rip off the turbo yourself. Don't bring it to a garage.
