msp is here in so cal

I just came back from my dealer and they have the msp now. They got the invoice today and in the afternoon, the car arrived on their lot. The car is spicy orange and I can't believe it that it has come already. The stereo is one of a kind and the engine sounds good. I really like the shifter. It is short and crisp. The car is accounted for already and since they already have a msp now, I'm sure others are being shipped right now.

At what dealership in So. Cal did you see the MSP? I live right next to the port in Port Hueneme and the nearest dealership to me does not have one yet.

Hmm, I live near the Irvine Auto Center and the fleet managers at mazda have not heard anything yet or know when they'll be in. Someone actually sent me an email saying that sources said end of December but HE THINKS it's gonna be early January. It's hard to believe what's true nowadays. What do you think?


btw, i just checked mazdausa.com and went to see inventory of the msp at the alhambra dealership and they didn't list any in stock...does that sound right?

i wouldnt expect mazdausa.com to show any in stock. especially if they only got one and its already spoken for

alhambra received an orange msp yesterday and they said the rest will come in a matter of days. They will receive 3 more black ones and I think they are all spoken for already. They told me that they and another dealership were the first ones to get it yesterday. They got one of the first 2 that were shipped. The guy that bought the car had a gti 337 and an acura type R so I guess they are just buying rare cars.

a dealer over here where i live said that i was the first ton inquire about the msp...this was a couple of weeks ago. He said that i would be first to get the call to check out the car. Should i have waited or is the mp5 a good choice???

Don't be too sure.

I got our first shipment of the 6 a few weeks ago and still haven't seen the next batch.

oh man, colin. my work is just down the street. PC CLUB in lake forest. if yours is there is it possible that mine is there too? could you find out how many black msp's are there? keep me posted. also, u were first in line right? i'm pretty excited now.

a whole jtruck i guess was at the dealership but only one spciy orange got dropped off my black mazdaspee was taken to san diego, **** .. but i thiknk another shipment might come tomarrow if it does ill be rollin on dubs

spoke w/phoung yesterday and thought shipment would come soon. today on freeway i saw truckload w/black and orange msp heading down the 5. i await you getting yours colin, i know the following black model is mine. at this late date i could wait until Christmas. we'll see. if you get yours PM or email me. Unfortunately, I'll be in Sacramento on a business trip Thurs. and Fri. but i'll keep calling phuong to inquire if any more have arrived.

i am also getting a black one. I'm next on the list after the orange one that has been sold. The dealer told me the next msps are on their way and should arrive really soon to their dealership. I can't stress enough how the shifter feels on the msp. The stereo is awesome too because when I went there to check out the orange one, the salesmen and the owner of the car was there. The car had white layer on it to protect the paint and the seats were covered. They turned on the radio and started having a party in there. Everyone there was excited because they couldn't believed how all of a sudden, an orange msp arrived. If anyone is still waiting, don't give up because it seems like most of them are on it's way.

they haven't talked about pricing to me yet because the vins for my car hasn't come in. I did ask how much was the mark up and they said that it won't be crazy but they do plain on putting tint, exhaust, carbon fiber hood and charging for that. The orange one was marked up 5k because there was only 600 of them in that color. So I don't know how much they are charging me but I hope it's not close to 5k.

i guess they want to charge for extra parts they put on so they make more money in a way that seems more reasonable to the buyer than just slapping on a mark up price.
