Anyone else get the cold shoulder from MSP guys when you wave to them. I do all the time and I used to own one. I don't know if its because they don't know I'm driving a speed also, or they don't like us cause we have a huge step up on them? I don't know but does anyone else get this?(dunno)

I get cold shoulder from mazdaspeed3 guys at the track. They said they're from the other forum, didnt really wanna talk to me, maybe cause i'm 1 sec faster than them. hehe But on the other hand, MSP guys are hella cool, one guy talked to me during a light traffic, he said he's a member of this forum and he got an orange msp. Also msp guys at the track was hella cool with me, showed me his mods and everything, while the ms3 guys didnt and basaically just answered to whatever i say nothing more.

msp guys always wave and are hella cool, but speed3 guys give this look of 'why is this guy waving at me???'

guess msp owners now (after 5 years) realize that their car is really rare and like to see other msp owners...most speed3 owners dont have that same disposition I guess (unless they are on the forums and all)

Yeah, when I had my MSP, I would say what's up to all the P5 and MSP guys and see them on the forums. Now that I got my MS3, most of the time the owners are older and don't give a damn. That's why I gave up trying to say what's up. Oh well...

MSP > MS3

IMHO, but I've only test drove the MS3. The MSP is raw feeling, and dead sexy, the MS3 is mundane, the steering feels off, and it looks bloated.

Again, just IMHO, after a short test drive of an MS3, when I was buying the MS6.

I remember when I went to a dyno day in Miami last September and a group of MSPs cut in front of my group. We had to listen to them Hoot and hollar over 160-180whp runs and their s*** talking the entire time. I started to back my Stage 3 SRT-4 onto the dyno and they were still talking crap. The owner of the dyno kept saying "This ones well over 300" and they would roll their eyes.

My car through down a 332whp and 354ft.lbs run, I looked at them to see if they had anything to say and they got into their cars and drove off.

Before this event I had nothing against the MSPs, but their disrespectful attitudes, considering I didn't say anything to them nor tried to show them up, really irked me.

Ive ran into one of the MSP guys since then, I was driving my MS3 and he flipped me off.. so eh..

Me too; I drive by one guy's work everyday, there's his silver MS3 in the back of the lot diagonal across 2 spaces. I keep meaning to put our site on a business card with my username and leave it under the windshield, I think I'll do that today. Coincidentally I think he lives about .9 miles from me, as I see an identically tinted MS3 pulling out of the development across the street once/week or more... Hehe, but how many MS3s can be 'local' to any of us given only 10k in the entire continental U.S.? I have only seen 2 others besides the silver guy and myself. I want a local meet!! All the MS3's I've ever seen and the MSP's always notice me and return my 'neep-neep' little horn recognition.

Some dude in a Spicy with an FMIC looked at me like I was smoking crack when I waved at him as we passed each other

An idiot is an idiot no matter what car he drives. You put an idiot in a BMW or a suped up Chevette, he's still gonna act like an idiot. That's what i've found. I've had all kinds of drivers in all kinds of cars wave back or snub me but thats there right. I just try to be nice.

I have never understood the animosity between car owners. Just because I drive a MS3 doesn’t make me superior to all other vehicles on the road. I hate fanboys. You know who you are, and just stop it okay. I saw this when I had my Lancer. Most EVO owners were cool, but I met a few that couldn’t stand that I was around with my little Lancer. I have yet to meet up with a MSP owner. I would like to. I really never have had an up close look at that car. I did however get an extremely cold shoulder from a 3 hatchback owner and a 6 sedan owner a couple weeks ago when I was at a car wash. I acknowledge both of them and they looked at me like I was the devil incarnate. I really don’t care what you drive, if it is nice, I want to stop and talk, or at least wave. But that is just me. I am a car nut.

yeah actually i have. so this kid was cool with me when i had a spec v we talked cars i asked him how he liked the msp and everything we were cool with each other then a couple times after that i had my ms3 and i said we were both rollin mazdaspeeds now and he just kinda looked and said cool and then said im off to cruise... haven't talked to him sense and frankly dont get why he was a dick after i got the ms3

The only thing i can say about that is every SRT-4 driver i have ever met was a complete dick, i have yet to meet on in person that was cool. I have met a couple on the forums that where cool, but in person or on the road they think there king s*** and are all o mighty, but if you ask them to play on the twisties instead of a striaght line they always back out. That just what i have experienced.

I thought there we only 2 Spicies in PA, im one and i try to talk to every mazda owner i see lol, i have even chased down a blue MSP before, he is MSP2009 on these forums, and the other guy lives in butler and doesnt have a FMIC.

Ok...this thread hit the dirt, first when I said he ms3 is a step up I meant it is the car that took over the msp's spot. I dont care what your opinion is, its a step up. I used to own a MSP and I had all kinds of s*** done to it, so I know what its like to have both cars for a period of time and not just basing my opinion on a test drive, thats just stupid. What I wanted to see is why MSP guys never wave back when I wave to them. Cause when I had my MSP I could wave at all them all day, and it would be mutual. Now I just get the blank stare like "WTF is he waving at" I just wanted to see if anyone else got this from the msp guys.

Yeah I get mean mugged everytime I see an MS3 on the road....."Most" of you guy's act like "most" of the old SRT-4 driver's that I have seen....Granted, two SRT-4 owners that I have known/talked to have been cool but,Most of them Ehhh....


Every "quick" new car that come's out has kid's 16-20 that buy them and think their hot s***.

Do I think that all MS3/SRT-4 owner's are dicks?

Of course not.

But, some make's/model's do have more a$$holes then others.


Most of those guys will move on or get over them self's soon so.....whatever!
