MSP EMU in a 03 MP5

is it possible to just take out the stock EMU and just replace it with the MSP EMU? I was reading on mazda3online says its for 2.0 engines I know there have been discussions on this before I think

do not use the MSP ECU...this is for a turbo charged engine...if you wantt o change the ECU & gain a little HP, use the ECU for a MP3

how much do you think that wll run me how many horses did the MP3's EMU net vs the Stock MP5 EMU?

depends, you might be able to find one for sale here...I would take that route or junk yard before buying from the dealer. also try ProtegeGarage...

I believe the P5 has 130 hp & the MP3 has 140 hp stock for stock

I believe he's moved on from that....we are talking about the MP3 ECU now, which can be done w/ out a problem

so, its possible for the MP3 ECU to be installed no problem? what's the difference between the 2? I'm assuming one uses 93 octane vs 87? so that's what nets the 10 additional HP?

yep, just swap them out, use at least 91 octane & you're good. I believe the change is made by some of the timing/fuel maps

theres a easy HP gain right there I'm going to check to see if a friend of mine has one for sale off his MP3 it doesn't matter if it comes off a manual and is transferred to a automatic does it ?
