So lately I've been burning an excessive amount of oil it seems. I ordered a compression tester and tested all the cylinders. Cylinder 2 - 4 came to around 105 psi, Cylinder 1 came to about 120 psi. I then wanted to see if it was bad rings or bad valve seals so I put a small amount of oil on each of the cylinders 1 by 1 and the test results increased on all cylinders 2 or 3psi. First off I thought wow, I hear other compression tests result in about 150-160psi and if that's the case I'm pretty low. I just wanted to hear a little feedback from what you guys think. Thanks.

Every tester reads differently, you aren't looking for a number so much as consistent readings between cylinders.

Make sure you have throttle WOT when cranking, otherwise it will be slightly time-dependant to retrieve the correct reading. I've done that wrong before haha

Also, cranking speed will affect the compression numbers, although, I do not recall how much.
