MSP changing body color??

You should be punched in the face for even asking this. How dare you?

I've thought about it actually at one time. If mine wasn't a Spicy. I would like a flat black MSP (which has been talked about from some other member on here). If I had a black mica (which wouldn't be too far a stretch) I would paint it flat black.

my question is why someone would want to change the stock color of a msp, they look good stock, unless you want do do something crazy for a show, then I say it's not worth it unless u are repainting it stock.

terbow is thinking of painting his flat black cause of all the paint chips

there are a few repainted... but most of the "MSP"s that you see that aren't one of the stock colors are non-MSPs with MSP kits on them. I don't mean to sound purest, but what would be the sense in changing the color of a limited production car?

Edit: if you have a reason for painting it (lots of chips, accident, hail damage, etc) I guess I could see it... but for the most part... a GOOD paint job is expensive and I just don't see it as worth it for what you end up getting. if the color is that important to you, buy something thats already a color you like.

I dont know s*** about paint, would multiple coats of clear (to provide protection for the paint) change the paint color?

From my understanding, us lucky.... errr... "lucky" ones that have a Spicy were (without our consent) given two different variations of Spicy. It's my understanding that there is both a light version of the Spicy and a darker. Can anyone confirm this?

All of them used the same paint code.

All of them used the same paint code.

I understand that but I've seen mine then I've seen others and they look completely different. I know mine's been rear ended (twice: once before me and once with me, both under 5 mph and only the bumper was affected). So...?

I've thought this cause I've seen one that was a very pale version of the spicy and have also seen a nice rich spicy at another point in time...but then again one could have been really faded from sun or something

Well I was asking because I wanted to know And I think I will stick to stock paint but is the color called yellow mica and what is the paint code?

can't remember for sure but careful with the yellow mica, the code isn't exact and also the paint is a 3 layer paint. base, pearl then clear
