MS6 Total Loss of Power?

Your living in fantasy land if you think Mazda is going to figure out your problem. I loved it when they told me back in 2003, "we are aware of the problem, but there is nothing we can do about it at this time". What a way to instill confidence, huh. A bandaid solution at best will come forward to fix your problem as more owners relay it to Mazda.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Mazda. And by the way, BlkZoomZoom knows his stuff when it comes to cars. To each his own, but you are barking up the wrong tree thinking otherwise.

Mods!?! Guys...cool it...or loose it (deletion) ;)

...and enough with the bitching (MSP'ers know what I'm talking about)...post something informative and constructive...don't (deadhorse Thanks...

BlkZoom and I have been trading PMs... we squashed this stuff.. please don't delete the thread.

I am taking the car back this week for them to do whatever Mazda Canada asked them to do. I'll post after the visit and let you guys know if they figure something out.

yes, deleting this thread would be a mistake, it needs to be seen.

I for one won't be considering any any Mazdaspeed 6 any time soon until this gets resolved. I have no interest in going through that again.

Don't delete this thread! Its got a good discussion going on in it, with some valuable posts!

its not going to get deleted guys... no worries (first)

Word of advice...Informative threads do NOT get deleted...However useless/flaming/negative posts do...;)

Just keep it civil guys and let's get back to the topic at hand!

:) that sucks....thank god i didnt waste 30 grand on one....

After I got the 87 octane gas out that the dealer put in, I've had no problems. I would like to hear some kind of actual tally of MS6 owners having problems. I don't doubt that there are some like FX-Man, and even one out of just the owners who read this forum is too high a number. But I wonder if it isn't getting blown out of proportion to say this is widespread. Crossbow seems to be limiting his discussion to people who are pushing performance a large percentage of the time or actually racing. Any other MS6 owners reading this forum that are having a problem?

Start a new thread...;)

On this board it looks like just me w/ high octane, but over here http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?showtopic=44818&st=60&gopid=585434&#entry585434
there are 5 of us now (a new guy today had this problem with 93 octane)

Who would we ask at Mazda to get them to add an ECU code for when/why the ECU opens the wastegate at 4200rpm? I had figured it was that the car can't handle 91, but I had it happen once with 94, and now 2 other guys have had it with 93 octane.

I also had the power drop-off over 4000RPM but only until I burned through the s*** gas the dealer put in. No problems since.
