MS6 stats

I picked up the most recent issue of Road and Track the other day to check out the stats on the MS6. It said that it does 0-60 in 5.9, and 0-100 in 24 seconds?! That does not sound right being as it does a 1/4 in 14's i believe. Any thoughts on this? Maybe a typo? I'm thinkin of picking up a MS6 within a week or so, just wanted to know what the deal is on this. Thanks guys.

yeah thats wrong... the 0-60 sounds about right....

I think I was reading somewhere that some guy ran a 13.9 /w just a eltric cutout

back when i first got my car, in june, i remember threads of people running 13.7s stock.. dunno if i recall that correctly, but i know for sure its in the 13s

Yea I thought 0-100 in 24 sounds a lil ridiculous...regardless I shall have one within a week, 2 at the most. Now I just have to decide on color.

Those numbers are back from a test where they experienced the powerloss issue.

I've ran a 13.86 with just a CAI....pre-reflash. And that was without LAUNCHING the car.

I run between 13.80 and 13.99 pretty consistently. I have had the flash, Cai,turbo-back,and hks blowoff valve. I personally feel that the upgrades that Ive made are pretty over-rated. My best time prior to these upgrades was 13.99. Ill be adding some sort of inter cooler upgrade this winter and dynoing it in the spring...we shall see if theres any truth to some of the vendors claims. If I dont have at least 250whp Im gonna be disappointed.

How many time have you ran in the 13.8s? Are you pretty consistent? Id love to know how you ran a 13.86 without a launch. Especially with just a CAI.

I ran a 13.7 once and a crap load of 13.8s-13.9s.

I ran on some back roads using a friends Gtech and I've only tried about five or six times. The last run I made I smelled clutch so I quit after that. I ran between 14.25 and 13.86 for all of the runs. I only did a super launch one time and that was the last one. For the first five I just rev'ed to about 3500-4000 rpm and stepped off the clutch pretty fast but I didn't dump it. I'm guessing as to the rpm's, I wasn't looking at the tach. I was just feeling it out. (I was afraid that if I looked at the tach I would be too tempted to rev to 6000 and dump it. )

The Gtech is kinda accurate...I wouldnt rely on the numbers to to much...Take it to the track and see what you can do. I know alot of people that have the Gtech and there time at the tracks were a2 or 3 tenths of a second slower.
