2006 Mazdaspeed 6
I'm not in San Diego but I feel the same, lol. I've only seen one maybe 2 other speed 6's where I live.

There are 6 or so in St. Louis. This is a really uncommon car. I think it was Steve who was saying that Mazda didn't make the 5,000 per year production numbers that they initially had hoped for. That the number was closer to 4200 and 3200. At least I think that was him.

If that is true, that means there are less than 7,500 MS6's in North America. You should feel proud to be the only one! :)

yeah, if u keep it really nice and we get the motor and s*** figured out (were almost there)..the value might go up..maybe..i feel proud that im the only one ive seen in RI and there are only about 20 or so in new england that i know of.

there are atleast 8-10 speed6's here in the poughkeepsie/newburg n.y. area...i know for a fact that 3 of them look to be people over the age of 40-50 lol. i am friends with another speed 6 owner in my town with the same color

I think 2 of the 6(ish) in St. Louis are older guys.

I passed by a bone stock MS6 here in St. Louis with an Asian family in it. The driver (the dad) was waving frantically and grinning big. Apparently he'd never seen another one on the road. I get stopped a lot by folks who say they saw the car in magazines a lot but never managed to see them on the street. They're always impressed at how mature it looks while maintaining a fun attitude.

Plus the Corksport exhaust gets a lot of compliments.

Wow... less then 7,500 MS6's in North America, thats pretty rare. Makes me like my car even more.

I'd be 1 of those 2.....I get stopped every once in a while. I drive by a guy in a blacked out (black wheels, tint, black indicator lights) with an exhaust. He lives about 3 blocks from me, he's not on here, though. He's probably around our age.

I see a lot of them nearby. None close to where I live, but a little further north, I've seen at least a dozen cars. Many are owned by older guys and look stock. There was one near me that was fully modified, but it was up for sale a while back.

We are part of a rare group, only about 8,000 or so brought over. I don't see the value going up, but it's nice to not see them everywhere on the road. I still check out every 6 I see just to check for more MS6's.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I owned a '92 Dodge Daytona for my first car. While it was only the ES (I wanted the 224hp IROC R/T turbo), they only build about 12000 of all trims over that period. In the R/T model, across both years of production, there were about 2500 ever made. Talk about scarcity of parts and not seeing any on the road.

So does that mean there were a total of (approx.) 8,000 MS6's produced for North America? In both 06 and 07? I was wondering if anyone knows how many remain now. On a side note, my friend has an altima se-r, which is also rare and theres only about 500 of them left now in Canada. I was wondering how many MS6's remain now in Canada, US and/or both.

I don't know if the number I got was NA production or just US production. I would be willing to bet that if the 8000 is just the US total, then the Canadian total is probably only around 2000-2500. So, bottom line, 10,000 units for NA over 2 years. Still rare by today's terms.

I would imagine the 8,000 is total for the North American market. Those silly Japanese businessmen see us all as one big state. I mean, I would be definitely willing to have Ontario as the 51st United State. You chaps are alright in my book! (friday)

I know there usually some beef between us, but personally, I've never had a problem with any American, hahaha. I have a few cousins that live in Buffalo(y). Theres only one problem I have with Americans...

lol

I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. :(

...Other than maybe you don't like our milk. Or maybe just white milk... Why's it gotta be white?

When I used to go to Windsor when I was 19, all the Canadian girls hated the American guys. They used to think they were hot s***, and we were inferior.

I could honestly care less about that.

Did anyone else notice that we totally s*** in the OP's thread?

yeah, just realized its getting off-topic, a mod can edit or delete my off-topic stuff, especially about the milk. lol.
