MS3 vs MS6 Turbo Inlet Pipes

I have been looking for a used TIP for my MS6 and have noticed that the MS3section has quite a few for sale. Are there any differences between a aftermarket MS3 TIP vs a MS6 TIP? Are they interchangeable? Let me know. Thanks!

they are the same...if IIRC the ms6 specific ones have a bracket on them that the ms3 ones dont...but its not really needed...i had a cobb tip on my ms6...worked awesome

There are two differences, the bracket is custom for each car and the MS6 filter is larger. Neither is a big deal, you can make a new bracket or try leaving it off, and you can get a larger filter or just use the one there which is just fine.

I bought a MS3 one for my MS6, waiting to get a TIP to install it and then I'll decide how to deal with the bracket situation.

The TIP's are exactly the same for each car--buy it if one is available.

I think that keymaster is referring to the SRI fitment issues--of which, he is exactly right.

Oh, duh, yeah misread that...I was talking about the SRI, just like the guy above me. I was also talking about the COBB SRI since that is what I have, but odds are other brands are pretty similar.

The TIP is exactly the same for both cars.

When I bought my Cobb TIP on the instruction manual it didn't even say my car, it said, "mazdaspeed 3". It worked fine, fit perfectly, sounds great.

i know the corksport one is the same between MS3 and MS6.

Just checked with corksport and the inlets are out of stock until the end of May

so im lookin for one used lately, but no one is selling theres. haha
