MS3 Track advice: Brakes and tire pressures

All -
Am headed up to Lime Rock Park next week to run a NASA HPDE event in my 2008 MS3.
Questions:
1) Have just put new Toyo R1R's (225/40) on it. What hot pressures should I aim at? I saw an article in Grassroots comparing R1R's with RE01's and they were using really low pressures - like 28 lbs (this was on a Miata). My experience with my old BMW with Bridgestone PP S-03's was they wanted 40 or so hot. Any comments??

2) Are the stock brake pads adequate for 2 days of track?

tia,
Joe

I just went to the track yesterday and I set the tire pressure cold at 36 for the front and 34 for the rear and they got to 40 hot. One time they were above 40. I put my hand on the tires after I ran and they were hot all the way across, and that is what you want. I have RE-01's tires for the track.

The stock brake pads are fine for now. I did upgrade to hawk plus pads after a couple of track days. I switch between the stocks and the hawk's and because they are made of similar material and I don't have to turn the rotors. The get bedded fine.

I agree, my stock pads held up fine, but I'm also upgrading to HP+.

Stock pads are pretty darn good at the track. Maybe upgrade fluid to Super Blue or Motul.
