MS3 Sport speakers and IPOD integration

Sorry for being all over the map. On one hand, I want to know what I can do without resorting to amp, sound processor, and sub. This means just speakers. Of course, you stated that it's not a good idea to change just the speakers since they would be underpowered by the stock HU's amp.

You also said that the stock speakers aren't really bad, but just badly crossed over. If that's the case, is this easily fixed? And how? I'd still need sound deadening to realize the full potential of the stock system, right? I don't want to fill the doors with the stuff since I want it lightweight. Would having sound deadening stuff behind the speakers itself help?

That would be my non-amp route.

The other route (for the future) is the full setup - speakers, amp, sound proc, and sub. And that's why I'm asking questions from both camps. Doing my HW so to speak. Though I'm sure things will probably change when I'm ready for a full system.

Too bad, though. I was going to use this thread for reference - especially with the specific speakers you've suggested.
