MS3 Short Shifter

I really don't care what you did if you have modified the stock thrower... I want to replace all bushing and shifter period to a better, stronger, more reliable shifter.

So in my book, No, you don't have the the first short shifter. You have a modified stock shifter.

And btw, I would like to know where you got your so called "trans mount"???

Ok, yes, my stocker is modified, and the throws are short, so it is INDEED the First STS.

How is an aftermarket better ? or perhaps stronger ? or more reliable ? (lol) (lol) (lol)

Go ahead and try and break your stock shifter and bushing then come back and let me know that you CAN'T !!! hahaha

Hahaha ... i have solid aluminum shifter bushings too dude (ALL MADE MYSELF). Everything Fully MIG welded.

My Mod will Include: Completely Custom Per Application Mind You

Shorter Throws (Ranging anywhere from 25% to 70%)
Shorter Shifter (We can keep it stock or cut down all the way up to 2.5")
Aluminum Shifter Bushings
Modified Pivot/Tranny weight
Can also change tranny fluid

and what are you talking about as far as the so called "trans mount" ???

i don't have a trans mount ?

EDIT: ONE MORE THING... my mod is available now. go ahead and wait another 3 months for Cobb to come out and who knows how long twm will take.

Oh my bad, ROTUS I would like to know where you got this so called " trans mount"...???

Stronger and more reliable mateiral the product is made out of. Even though it may take alot to break the stock shifter, I would still be more comfortable. And Cobb??? you forgot to mention TWM?

i didn't forget to mention twm !!! cobb is further along making an sts then twm is. go back and re-read my post. cobb and twm are mentioned. Dave from cobb quoted me about 10-12 weeks before the STS will be in production.

what is stronger then Steel Bud ? The stock shifter is STEEL !!! lol

and i GAURANTEE YOU WILL NEVER BREAK THE STOCK SHIFTER !!! plus, mine is re-inforced !!!! (lol2) And, for what its worth, i consulted with Cobb before making my own short throw shifter.

4-5 is REALLY long too. This might be the 1st mod i do to the 3

Being new to driving a standard, I did wonder why you had to make such an exaggerated effort to get to 5th when 2-3 is so easy it moves over for you. To get to 5th i have to shove*shove*then*shove.

No thanks on the cut and paste shifter. I will wait for the pros to produce a replacement.

Cut and Paste ? haha ... cut and paste me at the finish line !!! (screwy)

Smart ass, you wouldn't even know where to start on making an STS...

Actually if what I was told was true, I can guarantee it's not a chopped and welded shifter. I'll be buying one no doubt! (breakn) (laugh)

go ahead and support cobb/twm ... and spend all your money on mods that you will never get back.

let alone having issues with warranty, etc...

with mine, i use ALL STOCK PARTS !!! no warranty issues !!!!

why don't you try and support fellow MS3 owners instead of hating on people for trying to make good parts for the MS3 at a reasonable price ?

no warranty issue? u welded and "changed" how to car was built to run and how to company warranties it...im pretty sure ud have warranty issues if they noticed u did that

Just to set the record straight, my "trans mount" is an AWR 80 duromter, just like many of you already have. Got it from one of the forum sponsors.

how ? because i decided the shifter was too high ? if they can prove that by lowering the shifter broke whatever broke, then you would have warranty issues.

shortening the throw and shifter itself, has nothing to do with the "actual throw" of the gears. it changes the speed and velocity at which they engage, etc...

Just to get things straight ROTUS, your AWR is not a trans mount. If you are talking about what I have then it is a rear engine mount. Which I have an 88 durometer. AWR does not offer an 80.

If you think you have a trans mount upgrade then I would love to see what it looks like and where you got from specifically.

Why don't you try and read that over quite a few times and tell me if that even makes any sense what so ever???

why don't you try and take your shift lock mechanism apart and you will fully understand what i am saying. o wait, you don't even know what that is, so i guess you will never understand.

you don't understand because you know NOTHING about how our cars work bud. ur "knowledge" username doesn't suit you at all. (butt)
