MS3 Seating Position & Height

:
11 MS3 Sport
The observation has been made before that the seat height position is dramatically different between the Driver and Passenger side of MS3's. No matter how you adjust the driver's side seat, the passenger side feels like you're going to hit your head on the roof.

Also interesting, i've witnessed a 2008 MS3 Sport's front seat being able to be adjusted extremely low on the car, stock, while my 2008.5 MS3 GT's front seat not be able to adjust that low whatsoever. It's almost like something blocks it and it'll stop adjusting. How can that be fixed? I'd imagine, you'd have to reset the position of the lever in comparison the gear that it adjusts for height? Or, is there something underneath the MS3 GT's seat? I know the Front Seat has the BOSE Subwoofer, don't tell me the amp is underneath the Driver's side..

Ding ding ding. But I don't think that has anything to do with seat height. Also, for the record, I don't have any issue getting my seat low enough to feel normal in my GT.

I'm 6'5'' and the seat height kills me. I've have been searching for hours trying to find a way to lower the seat height without doing any unsafe modifications or changing out seats and rails. I can't autocross the car because I can't fit in with my helmet on. I know the amplifier is under the seat, but it seems like there are a few inches between it and the seat when it is in its lowest position. I would even move it if I needed to.

Blast from the past!

I'm sure you could fit some washers under the front seat bolts to tilt the seat upwards in the front so the rear would cant rearward.

Always better to revive an existing thread. :) I don't think the washers in the front would work for me. That would probably press my knees further into the steering wheel.

Well, whatever you figure out, i'd be willing to hear. I'd love to cant the seat further downward towards the rear of the seat.
