Ms3 gt hid

yeah...i ordered mine dec 16 or 17th, and i got them on dec 30.... granted the holidays and all, i still should've gotten them a lil earlier according to their shipping days///

I didn't put the rings in. Kept them off since I read some folks were getting bad results. This was from others who had OEM HIDs. Those who were using aftermarket HIDs seem to get better results with the rings. It almost was a YMMV scenario with those rings they provided.

Thats why you dont fully install them to test them out. I hooked up my HIDs to the projector alone to get the right balance of sharpness and color spread that i like using the washers mod. Just osmethin you have to toy with.

For some reason on mine the spacer rings made the projector unit too thick to put the screws in. The lenses didn't fully seat into the lense holders either. I would say about 90% seated in. I tried to pull them back out to re-seat them, but they were in too tight and started cracking on the sides. TRS told me later that some lenses in the earlier batches were slightly too big

i gota chance to drive around last night and noticed the blue cutoff...although i can't really see a change in colors at different angles when looking at the front of the car.....i noticed it ONCE today on my way to work....maybe i'll move further back from the front of the car tonight.....

Looking at it head on won't allow you to see the flicker of colors. Try at different angles and distances and you should :)

yeah i knew i had to look at it from different angles, i guess i was just standing too close still.....when i noticed it once on the way to work, i was parked at the gas pump and noticed the color change when i was inside the store check out my car..hehe...

ok, just got home from work, and i parked my car and walked about good 100 feet when i noticed the color flicker....and i even had to kneel down....i feel like my lights are a lil too low....maybe i'll try to aim them up a very small tad.

what's the difference? didn't know there was two ways of aiming them....i was thinking the metal ones beneath the white caps were the only way.....

With the metal screws, one is for up/down and left/right and the plastic/nylon white screw is only up and down. The latter is the headlight leveler too.

well i got them directly from theretrofitsource.com but i just looked on there, and i don't see them anymore...wondering if they don't have any "damaged" ones to sell as "value" lenses.....

speaking of aiming the headlights. on my original GT model headlights. i baked them and customized it but failed to resealed them correctly and had a whole week straight of rain that allowed water to get inside and fried the auto adjust chip inside.

Those headlights now automaticallyaim sky high on its own and can't manually adjust them down with that white tab. Is there another way i can adjust those down?

hmm...if there were a seperate fuse for just the adjustment knob i'd say take that out and do them manually. other than that you may be effed untill you get a whole new unit

With the metal screws; one is for up/down and the other left/right. They are behind the white/clear caps.

Yes...the metal screws with the metal teeth. There are two of them per headlight. Are you sure you adjusted the up/down one?

There's a chance the screws have popped out of the socket, thus causing it to not do anything. If that's the case, you'll have to bake open the headlight to pop the adjustment screws back into place.
