MS3 1st gear acceleration issue?

Hi, first post, and I did a bunch of searches before posting this question.

I've had my MS3 for a few weeks and noticed that the acceleration in 1st gear is a bit odd: Under normal take off and driving from about 2k RPM on up, the power seems to drops-off. The RPM's rise, but the car lacks acceleration. It's enough of a change that I can feel the power drop off.

There's no power issues in any other gear, so can I assume the 1st gear issue is the normal MS3 "gimping" of 1st gear? It just seems like it's too noticible and drastic compared to the power delivery in the other gears.

Note: no other issues, no CEL's, and production date is 04/2007.

TIA,

The ECU I believe limits the amount of power you get in 1st and 2nd gear. So that is normal. As far as I have read.

It limits boost in first and second gears to around 9 pounds. Our cars aren't made for launches but you should notice how well it preforms at higher speeds.

If you want to help low speed acceleration get a new rear motor mount. You will notice a huge difference the first time you drive.

yea when i have traction off and i laucnh it does the same even when its on jsut alot less 1-3 spins tires with traction off, sometimes with traction on i can get 3rd to chirp
