have changed the timing belt (teeth broke off)...timing marks right...valves not bent...everything hooked up like supposed to be...but the car will not turn over! what do i need to do?!
PlEaSe HeLp Me!

Please give more description of the actual problem; does it just "chug" and try and turn over, or does it click, or do nothing or...?
My 1st thought goes to the crank position sensor being damaged, but that's just a guess.

did you make sure you got the correct cylinder TDC or the correct stroke? I cant remember but I think its the number 3 on the exhaust stroke?

crank the car while someone holds a dollar bill over the exhaust. if the exhaust tries to suck in the dollar, the timing is still off.

not sure if its to late or not, but take off the valve cover turn the crank until number 1 piston (one closest to the belt) camshaft lobes are pointing away from each other. thats how you know your at #1 tdc and redo your timing. hopefully your valves arent bent. you run a compression check yet?

ok...realized the timing was off...i & e backwards! UGH! but now that it running i need knew spark plug wires and boots since they were taken off and put back on SOOO many times :(

Small expense compared to what could have been the problem ;)
Plus, it's good maintenance to change those if you were due at some point soon.

I actually have all that if you need it. Boots are from a 03.5 MSP with 72000. Plugs are brand new NGK's. Let me know if you're interested.

just an fyi these cars will still run and drive great with the exhaust cam being off by one tooth. The only way you will notice is a random missfire at idle.
