mp3 vs msp

hi all i just wanted to know how do the mp3 wheels weigh? and the the msp weight as well...i would think that the mp3s would weigh less...and also sidenote...my buddy had a yellow mp3 and he put 626 wheels on and said they actually help the acceleration quite a bit is it that big of a difference?

If he went from the 17" RacingHarts to the factory 626 16"s, I am sure it would help. Tires also play a big part.

I don't think it would make a huge difference acceleration wise, but it might be noticable to the driver.

IIRC, the shipping weight on a stock MP3 rim is 24lbs.

just the rim!?!? god gawd, man! my es rims are like 16lbs each. 8lbs rotating mass at each corner would make a HUGE difference in acceleration AND handling.
