the re92's are the worst tire in the world and as for as the handlign goes the mazda will **** the subie. my best friend has one and alot of the guys that XelderX and myself race with have them and yes when they are modded heaviley then they are a hard car to run with, but from thre factory they are understeer pig and dont handel for s***. even though it is a automatic given the right driver any car can be driven past its limits. i would say as long as there are no major advantages in the driver the mp3 will wear that ass out!
like i said though thats just my $.48

Good ol' mcmahon...that's great. When I was there back in '02 I was in west, but we always partied over in the jungle and carriage house...ahhh good times, I ended up attending a smaller college after that semester...are you originally from CT? That's where I'm from...

I think the main factor in this race would be the road chosen. If its a very windy road where you cant get over, say 40-45mph, the Subie might take it. Subie has a little bit more torque down low with AWD to help it out. Driving a boosted car isnt always the easiest thing to do in hard corners, depending on the road of coarse. I think the MP3 has an open differential (correct me if I'm wrong) so thats just only another step down in the cornering. I've never driven one, but if its anything like my car, when boost comes around a turn, my outside wheel is just begging for traction.

But Mazda does design some very nice suspension systems, so I wouldnt doubt how good the MP3s suspension is according to the posters. Should be a good race though, dont forget to tape it!

awww but canyon runs are so much fun, j/k but yea its all in the driver...
IMO the mazda handle better from the factory becuase it dont have the AWD understeer... but thats just me

I thought I saw a dude driving it, but I figured I could have been wrong. I always see it buzzing around by my side of campus (my office is right by jorgensen) around when I take my lunch break. Occasionally it pulls into the north garage. Sadly, it doesn't want to join me and my boss who park there and are both mazda owners. (he has a 3 5 door)
