does anyone have or know where i can get a condenser for my mp3? one of the lines coming out of it is kinked. i need to replace it because i do not have any air conditioning (my girlfriend (gapeachsp5) does not want to ride in my car for that reason, so we have to ride in her p5, which is not so bad) and as you all know it is starting to get hot. i need one asap. the stealership wants more than $200 but i dont want to spend that much unless i have to. i have the money to do the project now so i need to get it done. thanks for any help.

Hey, I had it not work one time before and I dont think its the condenser. It was The knob that changes from hot to cold. Look under the Glove box at all the wires and stuff. Turn the knob while you are looking (or have someone turn it for you) The metal wire that is connected to the knob has a clip on it that goes on something else (I think I remember it clipping to a white plastic thing?) If the clip comes off it will not actually be moving from hot to cold. Check this out.

Super Matty P has all his AC pipes taken out of his car. PM him and see if he'll sell you his.... you'll still need to take it to a professional to have the system cleared of the freon then recharged

yeah, I've got one here I'd be willing to part with asap. Shoot me a pm and if we reach an accord I can ship it out first thing in the morning.

Hey, I'm sampson's girlfriend. He already got everything. They actually made a new condenser for the mp3, so he had to get more crap than he'd usually have to.

Adam: it wasn't the switch...one of the lines was kinked really bad.

And, he didn't have to take it anywhere to get recharged, freed of freon 'cuz there was abosolutely nothing there because of the kink...I guess everything leaked out. His friend had some tool he used to recharge it. All he had to do was pay for materials (about $150!!!!).

Man, if he'd known you (Matty) had all that, he would have waited, but he wanted to hurry up and get it done, so that's how it goes! We were going to Augusta and he had to take his car. :)

Thanks again!

actually it cost me about $300 to do everything. brand new condenser, adapter line, and refrigerant. blows cold air now!!
